What information do we collect? How do we use it?
- When you join, volunteer, or donate, we need to know your name, email address, mailing address, payment information.
- When you submit articles, we always ask for your permission to display any part of it on our web site or other marketing materials.
- We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the web site, news and events we think you’ll find valuable. If you would rather not receive this information, simply tell us and your email address will be removed from future emailings.
How do we protect member information?
When you place donates by credit card, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access and after the your donation is processed, credit card information is deleted from our system.
What about “cookies”?
“Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. We use cookies with the shopping cart to keep track of what you have added to your shopping cart.
Will VTLP disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
VTLP does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.
