Businesses Target Unfriendly Legislators
They call themselves the Vermont Business Coalition, an organization of twelve industry associations, ranging from the Chamber of Commerce to the automobile dealers. They have identified over fifty members of the Vermont House whom they consider anti-business.
“We have compiled a list of 57 legislators who vote with us zero percent of the time,” Shawn Banfield of the Vermont Business Coalition told reporters. “Health care taxation, property taxes, workers’ compensation, employer assessments and energy costs are not short-term issues.”….
