Weld receive NY Libertarian nomination
WCAX reported Weld received the New York Libertarian Party nomination for governor yesterday afternoon at their state convention.
This is enormous news. It is the start of Republicans who are not entirely happy with the GOP starting to put one foot in the life raft of the Libertarian Party. NY allows candidates to be nominated by multiple parties just as we do in Vermont. I expect to we’ll see more Republicans and Democrats looking at the Libertarian Party as the strong third party the majority of Americans are looking for according to recent polls.
Weld might very well be the start of the domino effect that will spark the rise of a new party that will restore the core American values of individual rights, lower taxes, less government and more freedom.
